Extra Word problems:

These are word problems that are similar to ones we cover in class.  Students may do these for extra practice. I do not recommend that students continue to practice word problems because they vary greatly in situation and in terminology.

I would prefer they would spend time reading and discussing books and stories as this will lead to better reading comprehension which in turn will lead to a better comprehension of what the word problem is asking you to solve.

What is Fastbridge?

Fast bridge application provides assessment tools for helping teachers learn their students’ strengths and learning needs. We start with a universal screening of all students in order to learn what types of instruction students need.  The assessment allows teachers  to have important data about their students’ learning needs. Through review of the screening data, we are able to further identify which students need additional instruction or intervention. Using this process at the start of the school year will help teachers to improve learning outcomes for all their students.
