Social Studies
There are 6 Social Studies Units:
Unit 1: Before there was a Georgia
Unit 2: Georgia Beginnings
Unit 3: Native Georgians
Unit 4: Civil Rights
Unit 5: Human Rights
Unit 6: Personal Finance
Georgia Standards of Excellence
These units are taught along with science standards in alternating weeks. Some social studies units last 2 weeks, some 3.
Unit 4: Civil Rights
SS2CG3 Give examples of how the historical figures in demonstrate positive citizenship traits such as: honesty, dependability, trustworthiness, honor, civility, good sportsmanship, patience, and compassion.
